Rasi DeCosta, wife of Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta, expressed support for President Donald Trump's executive order protecting women and women's sports on Wednesday.
Trump signed the order in the Eastern Room of National Girls and Women in the White House on Sports Day. Lacie Decosta declared in a post on X, “It's a great day for women's sports.”

Ryan Mink, editorial director of the Ravens, responded by saying, “Trans women are women.” DeCosta made it clear that the issue is about “fairness.”
“Ryan Mink We don't have to agree. I played sports for the rest of my life,” she added. “I was an All-American Lacrosse player. Many girls don't consider this a trans issue, but it's a fair one. When it comes to sports girls, I always fight for fairness.”
The order granted federal agencies the authority to ensure that entities receiving federal funds comply with the original Title IX standards.
“This is not necessary to make it long. It's all about common sense,” said Trump before he signed an order.
Trump declared that the war with women's sports is over.

Trump joined the Eastern Room of the White House in Washington, DC, and independent women ambassadors Riley Gaines, Payton McNabb, Paula Scanlan, Shea Lily, Lauren Miller, Kim Russell, Caitlin Wheeler and Linnare. Salz and Lily Mullens are joining us.
Gaines, who hosts Outkick's “Gaines for Girls” podcast, was one of the champions of women's sports equity after sharing her experience with Leah Thomas at the 2022 NCAA Championship.
Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the White House, stated in a briefing before Trump signed the presidential order to “support the Title IX promise.”
“President Trump has pledged to restore common sense to our country, and he continues to provide it with an executive order signed later today,” she added. “The president signs a presidential decree, protects the athlete's safety, protects competitive perfection, and closes men from women's sports to protect the promises of title IX.
