Rory McIlroy joined several golf Immortals after winning the Masters on Sunday.
McIlroy became the sixth player to win a career grand slam. It raises trophies at all four major tournaments: the Masters, the PGA Championship, the US Open and the Open Championship.
This was the most elusive thing for McIlroy, who hadn't won a major since opening in 2014.

One of the golfers who won these five Grand Slams after beating Justin Rose in the playoff hole on Sunday shared a celebration to the Northern Irish, as they know how much it means to him.
“Welcome to the club,” Tiger Woods wrote to X:
Woods was overlooked at Augusta this week. He was injured last month and is reportedly unable to walk properly. It was known that his golf season is likely on the shelf, but some wondered whether he would attend Tuesday night's Champions dinner.

Woods and McIlroy have had a great golf relationship over the years. They are Nike athletes and the best two in the game since the latter became a pro.
In an interview after the round with reporters, McIlroy said Woods was among the people at the Grand Slam Club and reminded him of his belief that the Green Jacket was on his back immediately.
Woods, Jean Sarazen, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus were the only five golfers to complete the Grand Slam until McIlroy did that Sunday.
It was done in a very dramatic way, with McIlroy passing numerous highs throughout his final round, missing the par putt of the tournament's 72nd hole, forcing the playoffs with Rose.

However, McIlroy delved deeper, hitting the required drive and approach shot at 18, setting himself up with a short birdie putt for the victory.
The weight was lifted from his shoulders, and history continued with 2024 Masters Champion Scotty Scheffler, a green jacket placed in McIlroy's back in Butler cabin after a round of his life.
