Former college football star Tim Tebow posted an emotional message on his X account Thursday, sending his prayers and thoughts to the people of California battling wildfires.
Thousands of acres were burned and homes lost across Los Angeles.
“Like many of you, I've been watching the news with a heavy heart lately. Last week was the tragedy in New Orleans. This week it's the wildfires in California. Honestly, in times like these… I'm helpless. I don't know what to do except pray,” Tebow wrote to X.

“So, Lord, we humbly ask you to bring rain to California. Protect our first responders and give them strength and courage. Comfort those who are in desperate need of hope.
“And in times like these, help us all to remember that You are the same God you always have been, always with us and for us.”
The wildfires have affected the sports world, with two games this week at Crypto.com Arena being postponed. Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick also lost his home after his family was evacuated.
