Ignoring the lack of progress in 2 years Of course, I'm very disappointed in the poor win-loss record during this period, but my decision also speaks to my concerns about my long-term future if we continue in this direction. “I love this team more than you can imagine. To our fans: We know this level of performance is unacceptable. We are building the team you expect and deserve. We are humbled by your support as we continue to strive to do so.”

President of Football Operations Chad Brinker will lead the search for a new general manager.
In the Titans' statement, Brinker listed what he is looking for.
“I think the general manager position is unique to each organization. For this particular job, what we're looking for is someone who has had a career as a scout, who has spent a long period of time at the top are top level evaluators for most of their careers. have sent college players to the National Football League, they've largely helped set draft boards, preferably built consistently winning organizations, and their imprints are all over the roster. You can see it,” Brinker said.
“That's someone who wakes up every day and thinks about just building the roster, evaluating players, watching tape and working with the coaching staff. And not just someone who knows how to attract talent. , a really talented guy who understands how to build a team and how all the pieces fit together. This allows you to focus not only on winning today in the short term, but also on building for the long term in the future, and understanding how all these elements fit together. Work your way through how the decisions you make here will affect the decisions you make later on to really understand the whole puzzle.

“At the end of the day, this person is going to be working on the ball all day. They're going to be focusing on the roster and the coaching staff, but I'm going to take on the role of being in charge of all the other areas surrounding the team. I'll support that guy because scouting and coaching are the heart of our program, but we're looking for a general manager who wakes up every day and is focused on building the team. ”
No matter who the new general manager becomes, they will be armed with the No. 1 draft pick and more than $61 million in cap space, according to Over the Cap.
The big question for the new general manager is what he wants to do at the quarterback position after second-year quarterback Will Revis has struggled this season.
