“When I heard the news, I was a little surprised,” Brady told Fox play-by-play broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt. “I didn’t think that was the opportunity he was going for, but they’re obviously getting a great coach.
“When I was in the locker room with him over the years, they're going to play really hard. He's going to coach them well. For every player that comes into that program, they're going to play really hard. We're getting the best results, so that's going to be a huge benefit.'' He's a coach unlike anything the NFL has ever seen, but now he's at the college level. ”
Burkhardt asked Brady what he thought would happen with Belichick's hiring.

The former New England Patriots star quarterback admitted his former coach wasn't the warmest person in the world.
“He's not the warmest, fuzzy guy of all time. He doesn't have a ton of emotions…The year after he won the Super Bowl his first year, he was riding in a limousine on Bourbon Street after beating the Rams in 2001. “I remember when we got into the limo after the game,” he said at the MVP press conference the next morning. 'Tom, you've had a very good season.' That was as warm and fuzzy as Coach Belichick,'' Brady said.
Belichick will replace Mack Brown as head coach. The Tar Heels are 6-6 this year and will play UW in the Fenway Bowl. Freddie Kitchens coaches the team for the game.
