“To oppose trans athletes in women's sports is not a matter of tolerance or equality. It's about equity and protects biological women,” she writes. “I don't believe in a universe where biological men are born with no physical benefits over biological women, no matter what hormones they take.”
McCain added that he believed women and girls should not be forced to share locker rooms with biological men.
McCain ultimately added that the issue is a “loss” for Democrats.

“This is a culture-loss war issue for Democrats. I never understand why they want to die on this hill,” she wrote. “They claim that it affects these few people, but that argument also works the other way around. Why are they promoting unfair situations due to the ego of a few?
“This is an issue of equality. I'm not a hedge. I will not succumb to social pressure and I will not move. I would like to thank everyone who fights with me on this issue for your courage.”
The issue began in March after McCain highlighted the injury to Payton McNabb, who suffered in a volleyball game at the hands of a transgender athlete.
He suggested in his response to McCain that McNab is “defense” transgender people.
“We were surprised to find that we were buying slander of the trans community given the real issues that are happening in this country, our previous allies of the LGBTQ community and the fact that this non-problem affects around four people in this country,” Cohen wrote in X's post.
