Trump recruited Republican state Sen. Randy Fein won two special elections in Sunshine on Tuesday night.
Finnell will take over former Senator Mike Waltz, a former Senator in Florida's 6th Congressional District, after Waltz has opened his seat to become President Donald Trump's national security adviser. Public school employee and political newcomer Josh Weil has long lasted Josh Weil, a political newcomer who has raised nearly ten times the fines.
Located on the Atlantic coast of Sunshine, from Daytona Beach in Sunshine to just south of St. Augustine, Florida's sixth district, on the Atlantic coast of Sunshine, was overwhelmingly transported in 2024 by former GOP Rep. Waltz.

The Republican victory took place in Florida's District 6th election since 2018, when former lawmaker Waltz defeated a 13-point Democratic opponent. With each subsequent election, the Waltz won at least 60% of the vote.
Tuesday's unusually close race has been widely seen as a referendum on Trump's first few months of inauguration, affecting the broader battle of power in Congress.
Both losses in Florida's special elections on Tuesday were feared to hit the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. This has been declining since Trump picked many Republican members, including Waltz, to join his cabinet.
Amid these concerns, the nomination of GOP New York State Rep. Elise Stefanik to become the UN Ambassador of the United Nations.

Tuesday's victory marks another seat in the house for Republicans and expands one more majority of their slim five votes.
