President Donald Trump is trying to order Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the “blood tub” war with Ukraine after peace talks brought about a prisoner exchange over the weekend.
The call is expected at 10am ET. Trump said he would speak quickly with Ukrainian President Voldymi Zelensky and NATO members.
“The subject of the call will stop the 'blood bath' killing on average more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers, becoming trade, trade,” Trump said in his post on True Society.
“Hopefully it's a productive day, a ceasefire has come, and this very violent war, a war that should never have happened,” Trump added. “God blesses us all!!!”

According to the Ukrainian continent, Russia launched its biggest drone attack on Ukraine hours before the phone, launching 273 explosive drones and decoys. Of them, 88 have been intercepted, 128 have been lost, and possibly electronically packed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said it defeated 35 Ukrainian drones overnight on Monday.
Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio also met with Rome Zelensky on Sunday for continued peace talks.
On Friday, Russian and Ukrainian officials participated in in-person talks in Turkey for the first time since the early days of the war.
Initially, they wanted Zelensky and Putin to sit on each other. The Ukrainian leader said he would be present if Putin appeared. However, after the Kremlin announced they would send envoys, Zelensky appointed his defense minister to lead the delegation.

Both sides failed to reach a peace agreement, but agreed to release around 1,000 prisoners of war “in the coming days.” Zelenskyy saw a lack of breakthroughs in Putin sending low-level officials into consultations.
“Everyone could see that the Russian delegation in Istanbul is at a very low level. None of them were people who actually made decisions in Russia.
Putin said on Sunday that the peace deal “will ensure Russia's security” and what is necessary to “eliminate the cause that caused this crisis.”
Meanwhile, Trump suggested that peace would not be mediated without him.

“Nothing will happen until Putin and I get together,” Trump told reporters Thursday.
Ukraine is seeking an unconditional 30-day ceasefire. But Putin suggests that Ukraine may take time to raise and mobilize.
