The Trump administration will impose tariffs through the new international Emergency Economic Law (IEEPA).
President Donald Trump has signed a presidential decree on Saturday to approve tariffs. It comes into effect on Tuesday and consists of 25 % of additional charges for imports from Canada and Mexico and 10 % of imports from China.
According to the White House, the energy resources from Canada are 10 % lower tariffs. In a statement acquired by Fox News on Saturday, the Trump administration says that “an unusual threat to illegal foreigners and drugs, including fatal Fentanyl, is constituted a state emergency. “

“This task threatens the cloth of our society,” said the Presidential Order. “Gang members, smugglers, personal traders, and all kinds of illegal drugs are poured into the community across borders.
“Canada has played a central role in these issues, such as dedicating enough precautions and resources, adjusting the tide of illegal drugs effectively with US law execution partners. “
