“It's difficult to predict, especially the future,” said Yogi Bella, an admiration for American philosopher. A smart lawyer, but it's hard to see how Harvard wins the war with President Donald Trump.
After a string of requests in April, the oldest and most sacred university in the country decided to fight Trump. The reason they are fighting is not transparent, but it is identifiable.
One might be a thin hub arrogance. Harvard is Harvard. It considers Trump to be Roubaix and cannot succumb to him. In that case, that fate is sealed. Hub arrogance comes before autumn.
Trump strengthens the fever at Harvard University: Five reasons from the university's own research
Also, Harvard University's Don, particularly its president, Alan Gerber, could have been enough to be a punching bag for students. They knew that the fight against the president, who was being despised by students and its left-wing professors, would praise it from both.

“The mood at Harvard's graduation ceremony was very different from last year's scene, with university leadership being frequently booed and protesting against the university's handling of Gaza protests,” the New York Times stated.
But it can also be very short-sighted. General Leopold Gartieri, a dictator of the Argentine army, received almost unanimous praise from his fellow countrymen when he invaded the Falkland Islands in 1982. After that, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher regained the island in a very short war, and the people were very ugly, and Gartieri fell.
The war between Trump and Harvard's words began with a letter on April 11th that the administration sent back the university and outlined 10 requests.
Trump has frozen funds for Harvard. Money to these universities may also be in the chopping block
For example, the administration called for Harvard to carry out “meaning governance reforms.” It also called for merit-based employment to be enforced and an August deadline to “stop all preferences based on race, color, religion, gender, or national origin through employment, promotion, compensation and related practices between faculty, staff and leadership.”
In other words, the administration asked Harvard University to follow the law.
He also said that universities must reform international admissions to eliminate “students who are hostile to American values and institutions.” Again, common sense. Why do universities recognize Americans and international students who hate their values?
Harvard University's efforts to divide conservatives
Some civic libertarians may be struggling with the demands Harvard will audit “student organizations, faculty, staff, and leadership for diversity of perspectives.” However, Harvard has been hiring only liberal professors for years, so he relies precisely on current pickles.
And it was not possible to discuss the requirements for management of audit programs, departments, etc. that would “fuel most anti-Semitistic harassment” or discontinue diversity, equity, and comprehensive “programs, offices, committees, positions and initiatives.”

But Harvard argued. On April 14th, Gerber fought back by writing a message to Harvard stakeholders who rejected all requests. “A government in power does not direct what private universities can teach, what they can recognize and hire, and which areas of learning and research can be pursued,” he wrote.
That evening, Trump responded by freezing a $2.2 billion multi-year grant. And he hasn't stopped.

Since then, Trump's Department of Homeland Security moved on May 22 to revoke its ability to register Harvard international students. Professor Kirsten Weld of Harvard University called it an “extinction level event,” and it's easy to see why.
Foreign students accounted for almost 7,000 Harvard students in 2024-2025 or 27% of student organizations. However, tuition fees are even higher. Unlike American students, foreign students tend to pay full freight. Hits to tuition fees can reach 40%.
Again, Harvard is difficult to make in some cases. According to DHS, Harvard said “anti-American, professional terrorist agitators” have allowed campus to be unsafe for Jews on campus.

But Trump continues to punch. He threatened to cancel Harvard's tax-free status and threatened to cancel all federal contracts with Harvard – about $100 million. Obviously, Trump has many arrows to his trembling, and even Harvard's huge $50 billion donation could be threatened.
In a recent interview with the BBC, a reporter asked me why Trump is pursuing Harvard and his crusades. Isn't there a big thing he needs to do, like the economy and foreign policy?

I replied to her that Trump may not read much of a cultural Marxism, but he understands that this awakened virus of mind started at our university and at the highest level. American taxpayers continued to send money to universities because they believed culture was the centre for future generations. Instead, cultural Marxists used them as venues to kill cultures.

His battle with Harvard is a crusade. And like all crusades, this is about the story.
