Days before his first debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump joined Fox News' Sean Hannity in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to answer questions about key policies that will weigh heavily on voters in key battleground states.
Trump spoke to voters at a rally hosted by Hannity at New Holland Arena. The state has emerged as a key state again this election cycle, likely to determine the outcome of the November 5 election. Trump won the state in 2016, receiving 44,292 more votes than Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State. Biden then won the state against Trump in 2020, winning the presidency by a margin of 1.17%.
Both Harris and Trump have visited Pennsylvania repeatedly in recent weeks, and Harris visited the state with Biden on Monday in the first campaign rally for the Harris-Waltz coalition since dropping out of the presidential race in July.
Prior to the Fox News town hall, Trump attended a rally last Friday in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the western state where he had previously attended a campaign rally in July when a gunman attempted to assassinate the 45th president, wounding him and two others and killing local father and firefighter Corey Comperatore.

Trump and Harris are scheduled to share the stage next Tuesday when their election opponents return to Pennsylvania for their first and likely only debate in Philadelphia.

President Trump speaks out about Georgia school shooting
After Hannity pointed to Trump's increased security measures following the Georgia shootings that left at least four people dead and an assassination attempt in July, Trump vowed to “heal the world” if re-elected.
“The world is sick and angry for a lot of reasons, but we're going to make it better. We're going to heal the world. We're going to eliminate all the wars that are being started all over the place because of incompetence,” Trump said Wednesday at New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“I'm hopeful that we'll do well. We've got an election coming up… I think we're poised to do a great job,” Trump added.

At least four people were killed at Apalachee High School on Wednesday after a 14-year-old suspect, Colt Gray, allegedly opened fire around 10 a.m. Authorities said the four dead victims were two students and two teachers. Nine more people were wounded in the shooting.

Trump slams Biden and Harris as 'clowns' and leading America into 'World War III'
President Trump warned that the US was heading into “World War III territory” as wars overseas escalate under the Biden-Harris administration, and branded the administration a “clown.”
“We're heading into World War III territory because of the power of weapons, particularly nuclear weapons, but other weapons as well. I know those weapons better than anybody because I'm the guy who bought them,” Trump said at New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“If I get elected there will not be World War III. But with these clowns here, there will be World War III. And it will be a war like no other before.”
In 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, sparking a war in the country, and in October last year, Hamas terrorists launched attacks on Israel, sparking another war in the Middle East.
Trump warns US is approaching 'World War III territory' under Biden-Harris administration: 'Clown'
Trump argued that if he had been in the Oval Office for the past three and a half years, there would have been no war in Ukraine or Israel.
“Right now in the world we have problems with Israel and the Middle East. … Things are getting worse. We have problems with Ukraine and Russia. This would never have happened. October 7th would not have happened if I was president. It would not have happened. Everybody knows that. Iran is bankrupt. It couldn't fund Hamas. It couldn't fund Hezbollah. It couldn't fund anybody. Iran wanted to get by and we would have made a fair deal with them,” he said.
Trump slams Harris as 'border secretary'
President Trump blamed Harris for the rise in illegal immigration that has plagued the United States since 2021, saying “she was in charge of the border” as illegal immigration surged to record levels.
Trump slams 'border czar' Harris at Fox town hall, calling the country 'the worst border in the history of the world'
“They want open borders,” Trump told Hannity. “She wants open borders. Now all of a sudden she says, oh, I think we're going to close the border. She was the border czar. Whether you like it or not, even if you don't want to use that word. She was in charge of the border.”
“This is the worst border, not just in the history of this country, but in the history of the world. No country has ever had 21 million people come into the country in three years. That's never happened before. And of those 21 million people, many are out of prison, many are murderers, drug dealers, child traffickers.”
A recent Fox News poll found that immigration is the second most important issue for voters heading into the 2024 election, behind the economy.
NYT columnist details scenario in which 'Trump wins' and Kamala Harris and the Democrats 'fail'
“By the way, traffickers of women, you know, the biggest traffickers of women, they traffic women. And they're now putting women into our Social Security accounts, into our Medicare. And I just want you to take a look. I said last week that this would happen,” Trump continued. “And it's happening because these people are tougher than our criminals. Our criminals are good people in comparison.”
Trump says US will face '1929-style recession' if Harris wins
Trump predicted that if Harris wins the general election on November 5th, the United States would fall into an economic recession.
“If she becomes president, this country will be in a recession. Just like 1929, this will be a 1929 recession. She has no idea what she's doing,” Trump said at New Holland Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Trump assassination attempt: Whistleblower claims security was 'grossly unprepared'
“I gave us the biggest tax cuts in the history of our country, if we let them. If we let the Trump tax cuts expire, and she wants to end them, we'll have the biggest tax increases in history. We've never had tax increases like this, and she wants big tax increases,” Trump said of Harris' economic policies.
Trump pointed to Harris' proposals on capital gains taxes and plans to impose price controls on companies to combat “price gouging” as evidence that if elected president, the United States would face further financial hardship similar to the Great Depression.

CNN's Fareed Zakaria says Kamala Harris beats Trump on 'vibes'
During the conversation, Trump said Harris' father was a “Marxist” economist.
“Her father is a Marxist economics teacher. Can you believe it? But if that were to happen, this country — and I forget about that, I think she has a lot of the same terrible things. If she becomes president, I think we'll have a great depression like 1929. I think that's already happening to our country. They've set us on that path,” he said.
Harris' father, Donald J. Harris, is a former economics professor at Stanford University whose economics background was deeply rooted in Marxist theory and who was described this year by The Economist magazine as a “militant Marxist economist.”
Trump vows to take 'toughest' stance on Russia
Trump declared he had been the “toughest” on Russia during his presidency and again claimed there would have been no foreign wars if he had been in the Oval Office.
“I've been the toughest on Russia. President Putin even said, 'If you're not the toughest guy, you're killing us,'” Trump said while discussing his opposition to the Nord Stream pipeline.
“This was their biggest job ever, but I shut it down.”
The 45th president said the “whole world” was a safer place during his time as president, and stressed that war between Ukraine and Israel would not have broken out if he had been re-elected in 2020.

“[Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban]said, 'Guys, bring Trump back.' I'm not saying that, I'm saying that more out of respect. But he said everyone is afraid of Trump. Bring him back and there will be no problems. It will all go away,” he said.
