The 2024 election results were certainly a surprise to the national media. They spent the final weeks of the campaign wildly speculating that former President Donald Trump would not accept the results and there would be complete chaos. Instead, because Trump won the popular vote, everyone was required to follow their own norms and accept the results in an orderly manner.
This victory was not a landslide, but it felt like one because of the tsunami of garbage that the media, Democrats, and their prosecutors threw at President-elect Trump. They could not believe that such a legal act and relentless negative publicity would cause a backlash. They saw this pattern in the Republican primary and could not accept that it would repeat itself in the general election.
They knew that Biden and Harris had the worst approval ratings and that major issues like inflation and illegal immigration were dragging them down. But they hate Trump so much that they can't imagine him winning again, and he could pull off a much more convincing victory than he did in 2016.
'Morning Joe' has been losing viewers day by day since the MSNBC host revealed his Mar-a-Lago meeting with President Trump
So the media had to think about the unthinkable. Is no one interested in our “news” anymore? Why aren't our relentless anti-Trump messages getting through? They've had to ponder whether podcasters like Joe Rogan are the wave of the future influencing voters. . They had to lament and whine that the “misinformation” spread by Elon Musk's X/Twitter had ruined their entire purpose.

We can confidently say that mainstream media has less control over public opinion than we have long imagined. Although only 31% of Gallup respondents said they trusted the news media “a lot” or “a lot,” it found that most Americans look elsewhere for their information. No wonder Democratic journalists are concerned when they define “misinformation” as “information that disagrees with our passionate views.”
But when politicians gather in public, they may feel the pull of the left-wing press as the most powerful force, even if the polls disagree. Old assumptions persist in national politics. It would be reassuring for Trump and the Republican Party to give conservative journalists, radio hosts, and podcasters more access and force liberal journalists to listen to conservative voices. Because liberal journalists tend to be curious and intolerant of opposing views.

Finally, conservatives should be happy that liberals said this entire election was about “saving democracy,” and then a majority voted for President Trump and Republican control of Congress. Democracy did not die in the dark. The majority of those who cited “democracy” as an issue voted for Trump.

Because the left cannot admit that they were trying to suppress the speech of their opponents and that they were putting them in prison. They were the ones who armed themselves with guns and attacked the home of a rival former president. So who seemed to be the “authoritarian” in the end?
Democracy means the left will be ridiculed and rejected, and that's just the beginning.
