UFC star Colby Covington wasted no time taking shots during his media appearance Wednesday, but he didn't target his next opponent, Joaquin Buckley.
Instead, Covington ripped NBA superstar LeBron James.
It wasn't a question from a reporter that started Covington's rant about basketball's all-time leading scorer.
He began the press conference by asking James about the resurfacing of an old video of James talking about the now-infamous “Diddy Party” with disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I'm going to start this because I'm a man of the hour and a man of the show,” Covington said. “I want to ask LeBron what he means by 'There's no party like a Diddy party.' Not only that, but LeBron, how many Diddy parties have you actually been to? Is that why you quit social media? Are there so many diddy parties?”
The comment Covington is referring to comes from an old Instagram Live between P. Diddy and James, in which the basketball star said, “There's no party like Diddy's party,” and the music mogul echoed that comment. I loved it.

It's a comment that's all but outdated since Combs was indicted on racketeering conspiracy charges. Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. The federal indictment, unsealed Sept. 17, also includes transportation to engage in prostitution.
Authorities allege Combs ran a criminal enterprise through businesses such as Bad Boy Entertainment, and frequently engaged in “freak-offs,” including “elaborately produced sexual performances by Combs.” “arranged and supervised the acts during which he masturbated, often recording them electronically.'' Until the indictment.

James recently came under fire from NFL fans for attending Combs' party until security intervened. It is unclear whether James has attended Combs' parties in the past.
“It's pathetic,” Covington added. “People think this man is a role model. He's the most patriotic people in America, and he's trying to defund the police who serve our country and protect our country.
“LeBron, you're an asshole. I hope you end up in the same cell as Diddy.”
Covington didn't just target James, he also shot fellow fighter Jon “Bones” Jones, among others.
Covington has been vocal about James in the past and has often caused controversy by speaking his mind during media appearances.
