The Virginia High School track and field star attempted to get first place during the race last Tuesday, causing head injuries as the opponent hit her with the baton.
According to Brookville High School junior Karen Tucker, she is still waiting for her IC Norcom High School opponent to apologize.
Tucker just set a record for the new Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 3 State Indoor Championship in Monday's 55m race, hoping to help the school win in Tuesday's 4x200m relay final.

However, the heat of competition was carried far away by one opponent as clear video evidence of the race shows Tucker being hit in the head by a baton-wielding runner from Nocom.
Tucker quickly ran through the truck and collapsed, holding his head.

“So, on the curves on my back, I was cut off a bit and I was trying to pass her for the first time, so I tried to move her forward,” Tucker told WSE ABC 13 in an interview posted Friday. “I knew when I completely reached the curve that I had to pass her, so when we were in the middle of the curve we were bumping a lot of arms.
“When I finally pushed her to arrive in front of her, that's when she slams me into the head with the baton.”
Collisions during the race are very normal on the track, but not how Tucker's opponent responded at that moment in the second round of the race.
“The whole section was breathless,” Tucker's mother, Tamarow, said of the people around the bleachers. “We had our family out of town. Her godparent was here from Myrtle Beach. Everyone was out of breath.
“She couldn't believe it was something that happened, so it was a bit hysterical.”
According to WSET ABC 13, the race judge quickly disqualified the NORCOM team for “contact interference.”
Tamarow says that what baffled the whole family was the lack of accountability for what happened, but Medic said he was with his daughter and his daughter.
As of Friday, they hadn't heard from the runners or her coaches yet, she said.

“It wasn't all my apology,” Tamarow said. “We don't have any coaches or athletes. If it were an accident, I don't think it was an accident, but we don't do anything. It's been over 24 hours now, and I think that was a big deal.
WSET ABC 13 asked Tucker if criminal charges would be pressed, and without giving a definitive YES or NO answer, Tamarrow explained their perspective.
“Of course, everyone has their opinions on what you think you should do, but that's also someone else's child,” she said. “I want to take that into consideration too. Yes, she definitely attacked my daughter multiple times, but she is also someone else's child.”
The family said a doctor's visit on Friday revealed symptoms of a concussion as Karen continues to deal with the headache. There was also swelling around the area where she was hit, potentially causing a skull fracture.
Karen is not allowed on the truck until she recovers from her injuries, her mother said.

The Tuckers contacted VHSL and said they received a callback explaining that an investigation was underway and that both high schools were working together. According to Tuckers, the discipline for the incident has not been announced.
VHSL did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

At the end of the interview, Karen was asked from her home what she wanted to say to the person she attacked.
“Why did you do that? And why haven't you apologized yet?” she said.
