Several vehicles in Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's motorcade were involved in a minor crash while campaigning in Wisconsin on Labor Day, leaving several people with minor injuries, Governor Walz said.
“As some of you may know, my staff and members of the press who were traveling with me were involved in a traffic accident on the way here today,” Gov. Walz said at a campaign event on Monday after the accident. “I've spoken with my staff, and I'm relieved that, apart from a couple of minor injuries, everyone is OK. Thank you.”
He added that Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden, who were campaigning with him on Monday, “called me to check in and I truly appreciate their concern. I also want to sincerely thank the United States Secret Service and all of the local emergency responders who responded quickly to help. On behalf of the Vice President, myself, and the entire campaign, we thank you for your work today and every day.”
