President Donald Trump is celebrating the first 100 days of his second term at the White House, with lawmakers splitting along the party lines about his greatest achievements.
Republicans are touting safe borders and government efficiency, but Democrats were unable to identify a single achievement for Trump's second term. Fox News Digital spoke with lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle this week to see how Capitol Hill was responding to Trump's first 100 days.
“Border security. It's absolutely incredible. A lot of Americans are so grateful, they feel different. People feel safe again,” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green added that Americans are “very proud of that.”
The White House has launched Trump's first 100 days celebrations by promoting the Trump administration's early efforts to stop illegal immigration in the United States and promoting the promises of a major campaign in 2024.

Records from US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in March reveal that the Southwest border is the lowest intersection last month, with just 7,180 people recorded. In comparison, the average monthly border intersection under former President Joe Biden was 155,000.
Trump will steam ahead of these campaign promises when he reaches 100 days of office
“In his first 100 days, he'll say he's securing the borders more than Joe Biden has done in four years,” R-Mo said. “These are things they said they couldn't do unless the law was passed,” said Rep. Jason Smith of the group.
“Tom Homan is amazing, and he is a great spokesman for securing borders. Clearly, the first role of government is to protect people, and if you don't have borders or laws, you're not a country,” said R-Inlinoi, who praised Trump for fulfilling her campaign promises for Americans.

R-Tenn. Rep. Tim Burchett of the company agreed that border security was Trump's top achievement after “effectively halting illegal actors.” He added Trump's international diplomacy has been an important achievement so far, and to Fox News Digital, “Our enemy is afraid of us, and our friends are once again looking up to us.” Burchet also joined the Republicans and confirmed that Elon Musk's work will lead the Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Republicans enjoy Trump's first 100 days, but Democrat reviews have not been that positive since January this year, waiving control over the Trump administration, particularly on Doge Cuts, which includes a massive layoff to the federal workforce.
“The biggest achievement ever seen from Trump is one of the Doge firing. Elon Musk,” said Rep. D-Calif, resigning to Fox News Digital.
According to the government's Ethics Bureau, Musk, who was appointed as a “special government employee” to oversee Doge, must resign from his position 130 days later. Musks need to implement an ambitious plan for reducing waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.

Sen. Jeff Markley (D-ore.) said Trump achieved “many destruction” in his first 100 days.
“Well, he has accomplished a lot of destruction of our federal agencies. He is breaking the separation of constitutional power. He has destroyed the basis of the due process, which is essential to our freedom here in America. He is raising the costs of all Americans very well.
D-Mass. Rep. Seth Moulton, unable to name a single achievement for Trump's second term, focusing instead on his criminal conviction in New York City last year.

“His greatest achievement is that he was elected again when he was a convicted felon, which is pretty surprising in history,” Moulton told Fox News Digital.
And Democrats claim that Trump's first 100 days are “injuring America,” but DN.J. “It's true that a lot of people are now paying attention to politics,” said Senator Andy Kim.
