President-elect Trump on Wednesday floated NHL legend Wayne Gretzky as his candidate to replace Justin Trudeau as Canada's prime minister in a social media post.
And it appears Wayne's wife, Janet Gretzky, got the message.
Janet Gretzky shared Trump's Truth social post on her Instagram Stories and posted a link.

“I just parted ways with Wayne Gretzky. 'He's one of the greats that ice hockey has known.' I said, 'Wayne, why don't you run for Prime Minister of Canada, who will soon be known as Governor General of Canada?' Would you? If it was easy to win, you wouldn't even have to campaign,” Trump wrote.
“He wasn't interested, but I think Canadians should start a draft campaign for Wayne Gretzky. It would be a lot of fun to watch!”
Trump's post comes as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faces pressure to resign. Earlier this month, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned from Trudeau's cabinet. At the same time, opposition leader Jagmeet Singh called on Prime Minister Trudeau to resign.
The main opposition party, the Conservative Party, is calling for an election.

Trump also expressed his opinion after Freeland resigned.
After previously suggesting Canada should become the 51st U.S. state, President Trump wrote on his Truth Social: “Canada is stunned as Finance Minister resigns or is removed from office by Governor Justin Trudeau.'' “Yes,” he posted, mocking Prime Minister Trudeau.
“Her actions were completely harmful and in no way conducive to a beneficial transaction for very unfortunate Canadians. She will not be missed!!!”
President Trump also teased Canadians about adding Canada as the 51st state of the United States.
The “great man” appeared to support President Trump, who defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the election.

Last month, after Trump won the presidential election, he was seen wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.
