College football defensive back William Hurdrick, who played previously for Mississippi State and Miami (Ohio) before moving to Austimpy, has passed away. He was 22 years old.
Austimpie University announced Hathrick's death on Wednesday.

Hardrick was killed in a car accident in Alabama near Interstate 65, Limestone County Coroner Mike West told WHNT-TV.
John Walter McAdams was arrested in a crash and charged with murder and two counts. Alabama law enforcement was investigating the conflict.
McAdams is said to have been driving a semi-critic trailer.

“We are truly saddened by the passing of new members of the football program, William Hurdrick and the Austimpy family,” Austimpy Athletics Director Gerald Harrison said in a statement. “All our thoughts and prayers are in the family of Hadrick today. We will do everything we can to support his friends, family and teammates at this point.”
Governor's head coach Jeff Faris called Hardrick “an exceptional youth.”
“Our team is heartbroken by his loss,” added Faris. “He made everyone around us better and made a real impact on both the field and off-roads. We lift the family of Hardric in prayer, lamenting this tragic loss with them.”
Before committing to Mississippi, Hardrick went to high school in Adamsville, Alabama. He played for the Bulldogs throughout the 2022 season and spent two seasons with Miami.

He played 18 games for the Red Hawks and had a total of 32 tackles.
