WWE announced on Monday that the Royal Rumble, one of the company's famous premium live events, will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2026.
Royal Rumble events have primarily been held in the United States, with the exception of 1988, when it was first held in Ontario, Canada. It will be held in Indianapolis in February and will head overseas next year.

“WWE is a global company and it makes sense to expand our relationship with Saudi Arabia by bringing one of our biggest annual events to Riyadh in January 2026,” said WWE Chairman Nick Khan. said in a news release.
Saudi Arabia has hosted several premium live events in the past. Crown Jewel was the main event held in the country, which also hosted the Greatest Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber Night of Champions, and King and Queen of the Ring events.
“Saudi Arabia hosting the Royal Rumble for the first time outside of North America reflects the General Entertainment Authority’s continued commitment to bringing the world’s largest and most important entertainment events to Saudi Arabia. Through this partnership with WWE, will provide transformative experiences that will appeal to the entertainment sector and a wide range of audiences,” added Turki Alalshik, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority.

WWE touted November's Crown Jewel as a huge success. The company announced it set a record for the most-watched WWE event in Saudi Arabia.

The company said viewership for the event was 28% higher than last year's event. It was also the sixth Crown Jewel event to be held at a sold-out venue at Riyadh's Mohammed Abdo Arena.
