The New York Yankees' onslaught in Game 4 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers overshadowed a strange moment in the bottom of the first inning.
Gleyber Torres, leading off the Yankees, hit a pop fly across the first base line and into the audience. Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts made a great play catching the ball, but two Yankees fans tried to rip the ball out of his glove and the mitt out of his hands.

Betts was angry about the play. The two fans were immediately ejected from the game.
ESPN said the two people seen on the broadcast were identified as Austin Capobianco and John Peter. Capobianco told the outlet that he knew he would be ejected from the match, but chose to ignore the rules and grab Betts anyway.
“We always joke about the balls in our area,” he said. “We're not going to go out of our way to attack. If it's within our area, we're going to 'D' up.”
“Somebody's going to defend, somebody's going to knock the ball. We're talking about it. We're willing to do that.”

Betts told reporters after the 11-4 loss that he was solely focused on Game 5.
“As far as who's playing, it doesn't matter,” Betts said. “We lost. It doesn't matter. I'm fine. He's fine. Everything is fine. We lost the game, so that's what I'm focused on. We have to turn the page and be ready for tomorrow.”
This series isn't the first time Torres has faced fan interference while at bat.
Torres thought he had hit a clutch home run when a Dodger fan reached over the fence at Dodger Stadium and pulled the ball in Game 1.
