They must win the first game to complete their comeback from a 3-0 deficit.
Well, the New York Yankees defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 in Game 4 of the World Series and continued to fight today.
Of course, it all started with Freddie Freeman's two-run homer in the first inning, but Alex Verdugo's fielder's choice homer cut the Yanks' lead in half. But in the next inning, Anthony Volpe hit a grand slam to give the Yankees a 5-2 lead for the first time since Game 1.

Los Angeles added two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a small ball, and although the Yankees' first two players got on base, they were at the bottom of the frame and couldn't score, wasting a golden opportunity. But Austin Wells made up for it with a long solo home run in the sixth inning.
The Dodgers tied the game in the seventh inning, but with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freeman all out, the Yanks had enough insurance in the eighth inning.
Volpe scored on a play off Verdugo's bat, and then Gleyber Torres hit his first three-run home run of October to make the game 10-4. Aaron Judge also hit an RBI single, his first in the World Series, to cap off a five-run eighth inning. The Yankees scored only seven points in the first three games combined.
Lewis Gil pitched four innings, but five Yankees relief pitchers combined for five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, one walk, and seven strikeouts.

Of course, the Yankees are looking to become just the second team in MLB history to come back from a 3-0 deficit, something only accomplished by the Yankees vs. the Boston Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS. is. Probably Volpe from New Jersey. That guy at the 2009 Yankees World Series parade could be this year's version of Dave Roberts, who managed the Dodgers and sparked their comeback two decades ago.
Game 5 returns to the Bronx and the Yankees have momentum. They will have current Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Cole on the mound, while Jack Flaherty will return serve for the Dodgers.
